BLIND PEOPLE'S WELFARE TRUST
Andhjan Kalyan Trust is a non-profit and non-governmental organization working for the all round development and welfare of the disabled to provide rehabilitative services to the disabled to make them socially and financially self-reliant. Andhjan Kalyan Trust was established on Dec 15, 1992. It was a joint effort among visually challenged persons of Saurashtra region in Gujarat State of India, it functions Nationally and Internationally when and where any necessity arises for the cause of the disabled.
AICB
All India Confederation of the Blind (AICB) is a body of blind persons working for and with its blind brothers and sisters. It is made up of grass-roots and State-level Associations/Organizations working with the blind. It has 22 affiliates across the country.

Mitra Jyothi
Mitra Jyothi is a registered charitable trust formed in 1990 with the objective of integrating persons with disability into mainstream society. At Mitra Jyothi, we believe that all persons with disability have the potential to become independent and self-sufficient, and given the right opportunities can achieve their goals. Our main area of work is to assist the visually impaired, but our Placement Cell assists people with all disabilities. The different programs for the visually impaired are Talking Book Library, Independent Living Skills, Braille Transcription Center, Job Placement Cell and Computer Training Center. We have served approximately 7000 disabled people since our inception in 1990 directly and indirectly through our various programs.
Navchetna A Charitable Institute for the Blind
Navchetna is a society which works for the welfare of the Visually Challenged (Blind).
It runs a school for the blind children and provides free education to them.
Free books and uniform is provided to them.
It provides free hostel facility for students from outside Patiala.
Free pick-up and drop is provided to the day boarders.
It provides computer knowledge with softwares designed specially for the Visually Challenged.
It provides recreational facilities like dance, music, yoga, indoor and outdoor games.
It runs a Braille Library for the blind.
It also runs a Digital Audio Library for books on syllabus, general knowledge and literature in 3 languages - Hindi, Punjabi and English.
It helps in the promotion of other welfare activities for the blind.

Those who are parents of visually challenged children are encouraged to join the “Parents of Retina India”, an exclusive forum for discussions centered on issues related to parenting of visually challenged children, and the care to be taken in their play, education, socializing, etc. People have always learned from each other, and such a forum allows your good experiences, and some bad, to be shared so that others become more knowledgeable. Saksham
India has the misfortune of having the highest proportion of blind and low vision persons in its population. It is estimated that there are about 14 million blind and 28 million low- vision persons in the country. The Saksham Charitable trust has been established with the sole purpose to empower the persons belonging to the marginalized section of the society. We believe that the empowerment of the persons and availability of opportunities for such empowerment is the best help that we can provide. Saksham trust was established in the year 2003 to undertake activities for empowerment of persons with disability.
